Manage payment methods
Add a new credit card
Follow these steps to update your card details:
- Click on your site name in the top-left corner, then select Account on the drop down menu.
- Select Subscriptions at the top of your Account dashboard.
- A list of the subscriptions under your account will be listed. Click the blue Edit link under the "credit card" icon on your subscription, then select Add new payment method from the drop down menu.
- Enter your credit card details, then click Save.
-
Optional: If you would like this payment method to be used for all future charges, be sure to set it as the "Default" card on file.
If your subscription is currently Past Due, then the payment will process after you press the Save button; when your payment is successful, you will regain access to the Dashboard areas immediately and your subscription returns to active status.
Update an Expired Card
If your card is expired, you can update that card’s expiration date on the Manage Payment Methods page:
- Click on your site name in the top-left corner, then select Account on the drop down menu.
- Select Subscriptions at the top of your Account dashboard.
- A list of the subscriptions under your account will be listed. Click the blue Edit link under the "credit card" icon on your subscription, then select Manage payment method from the drop down menu.
- A list of all of the cards attached to your subscription will be listed. Select the blue Update link next to the credit card to edit the card’s information.
- Input your new expiration date, then confirm the CVC and postal code.
- Select Save to complete your changes.
Note: Updating an expired card with a new expiration date does not automatically process your past due payment right away, so if you need your subscription active immediately, give us a call and we can manually process the payment: (888) 534-2183. If you wait 12 hours, the system will try your new card on file and the site will go back to an up to date status.
Set a new default card
A default card is your primary card on your account. This card will automatically be charged when your renewal date rolls around. You can change your default card if you have more than one credit card on your account. To do this:
- Click on your site name in the top-left corner, then select Account on the drop down menu.
- Select Subscriptions at the top of your Account dashboard.
- A list of the subscriptions under your account will be listed. Click the blue Edit link under the "credit card" icon on your subscription, then select Manage payment method from the drop down menu.
- You will see a list of all of the payment methods attached to your subscription. Select the circle next to the one you'd like to select as the "default".
Delete a card on file
Please note that a credit card cannot be deleted if it's the "default" card on file; if you are unable to delete a credit card, then you must first set another card as the "default" card. If you only have one card on file, then you can add a new credit card, set it as the "default" card, then return to these steps to delete the old card.
To delete a credit card:
- Click on your site name in the top-left corner, then select Account on the drop down menu.
- Select Subscriptions at the top of your Account dashboard.
- A list of the subscriptions under your account will be listed. Click the blue Edit link under the "credit card" icon on your subscription, then select Manage payment method from the drop down menu.
- You will see a list of all of the payment methods attached to your subscription. Select the "trash can" icon next to the credit card that you'd like to remove. Follow the on-screen prompts to confirm the deletion.
Troubleshooting payment/billing
Retry a charge after updating a payment method
If your subscription is Past Due, our system will retry a payment after a new "default" card has been set. If you have added a new card on file, but your account is still showing as Past Due, please make sure that the new card has been set as the "default" card on file.
The system does not automatically retry the payment if you update an existing expired card. If your subscription still shows as Past Due after updating your payment method, please contact us at support@gospacecraft.com or call (888) 534-2183. Note: If you do not have a Phone Support PIN, our team can still access your billing details over the phone, but cannot provide phone support on website edits.
Turning website back on after making payment
When a subscription goes 30 days past due, the system automatically removes the domains from the Domain Settings dashboard. Once the subscription is active again, the domains need to be re-added in the Domain Settings dashboard, accessible by navigating to Settings (the "gear" icon at the top of the dashboard) > Domains > Add Custom Domain. How to re-add your domains to reactivate your website.
