How do I point a domain to my SpaceCraft site? (DNS Configuration)

One key website setup step requires you to update your domain's DNS (Domain Name System) zone file. Follow the steps below to make the correct DNS changes for your SpaceCraft website. Go to the end of this article to find links to registrar-specific articles.

1. Login to your domain registrar (e.g. GoDaddy.com). If you do not know your domain provider, click here or contact our support team to gain assistance.

2. Once logged in, find the DNS manager for the domain.  If you are having trouble locating the DNS manager, we recommend contacting your domain registrar's support team. They will likely be able to help you add the following record as well.

3. In the DNS manager, change the current or add a new A Record (insert only ONE A Record in the DNS Zone File, multiples will create issues).

Record: A

Host: @ or yourdomainname.com (Example: spacecrafted.com)

Points to: 35.190.45.195

TTL: 600 or 3600 (depending on what your domain registrar allows)

4. If there are custom nameservers, remove them or park the domain to the default nameservers.

5. Save your changes.

6. Make sure that you have added your domain to your SpaceCraft Dashboard settings. The site will not appear until you do so.

Important: DNS changes typically take 24 to 48 hours for the change to fully take place. If you have any email setup on the domain, take note of your current MX records in order to not interrupt your email service.
