Embed a Live Chat Widget

A live chat widget is an integration that allows you to provide real-time service to your website's visitors. 

Once you choose a chat software, they should provide you with an HTML code that you can embed on your website. To add the live chat widget on your website, you will want to create an HTML Block.

Note: Many aspects of your live chat's widget are controlled through the software provider itself. If you want to change the look, feel, or functionality of your live chat widget, please refer to the provider's support resources.

 

Add a live chat widget to every page on your site

1. Navigate to Content in the gray navigation bar at the top of your dashboard.

2. Under Global Content on the right-hand side of your screen, select Footer.

3. Select the green (+) button at the bottom of the page or in between the content blocks, where you'd like to add the HTML block.

4. Select the green HTML tile.

5.  Paste the code you want to embed into the new content block you have created.

6. After you paste your code into the code box, select the blue Save button.

7. Select Publish.

 

Add a live chat widget to specific pages 

1. Navigate to Content in the gray navigation bar at the top of your dashboard.

2. Select the page you want to embed the custom HTML.

3. Select the green + button at the bottom of the page or in between the content blocks, where you'd like to add the HTML block.

4. Select the green HTML tile.

5.  Paste the code you want to embed into the new content block you have created.

6. After you paste your code into the code box, select the blue Save button.

7. If you only want to add the chat widget to one page, click Publish. If you would like to add the widget to additional pages, then repeat steps 1-6 for each page before publishing.
