If you make changes to your website and your Publish button does not illuminate green and become clickable, it could be because of one of the following reasons:
- You made an edit and later reverted it. For example, if you create a new content block but then delete it, the Publish button will not illuminate if everything on your dashboard matches the published site.
- Another user is logged in at the same time and published the site on their own.
- Your User Role is Contributor, Content Only, or Design Only. Users with these access levels can make changes on the site but cannot publish the changes. The changes will need to be published by a user with Owner or Admin access.
To find your access level, navigate to Settings (the "gear" icon at the top of your dashboard), and click on Users & Roles. You will see your User Role next to your email address in the list. If you would like to change or upgrade your User Role, someone with Owner or Admin access will need to change your user role.
